The Virginia General Assembly's Guide to the Virginia Retirement System is required by Section 30-81E of the Code of Virginia. The Guide is produced jointly by the staffs of the Joint Legislative Audit and Review Commission (JLARC) and the Virginia Retirement System (VRS). Some actuarial information is provided by Mercer under contract to JLARC.
